No News is Good News!

Here is a phenomenon… Real Estate News is GONE from the Headlines! If you have been wondering what is going on in the market & if you have been looking in local and national papers & other media outlets, you may have noticed a trend, the real estate news has been very quiet! It is sad to say, but I believe that the reason is because the only thing to report is good news. It isn’t as bad as everyone thought! Our team has seen a sharp up tick in business recently. We believe this is partially due to the Fed cutting rates by a half a point & some of the supply in NWA is starting to get bought up! Builders cut new housing starts this year by about 56%!

We also believe that this up tick in business is because in a tough market, we are continuing to market our properties in creative and innovative ways. We use some of the best, proven traditional methods, but we have also integrated technology, the internet, smart lines, TV Ads, & more to help sell our listings. This dedication to our listings lets our clients know that we care about them & their investment, and we will do all that is in our power to sell it!

People ask me all day, every day, “How’s the market?” Well, the market isn’t the 2003 - 2004 BOOM, but we are in a good market! Now, we are almost normal. The problems are found with those who stretched their finances to purchase in 2003 - 2005 & have purchased a little more than they can afford. Now, if they NEED to move, they are in a tough, tough spot. Their home hasn’t “depreciated” in value, but in order to get out of it what they paid for it plus fees, it will be on the market almost a year at least. That is what makes this market a “tough market” & one of the big reasons why I support & recommend Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover & Financial Peace University. Smart financial moves are key to guarding all your investments & Dave preaches that “cash is king and the paid-off home mortgage is the new status symbol for life”! I couldn’t agree more.
